Terms of Sale.
Text in square brackets is a value still to be confirmed.
1.1 Who you are buying from
Every purchase is a contract with Algostake (Pty) Ltd, a South African private company, registration number 2025/569869/07 ("the Seller"). The Seller takes your payment, issues your receipt, arranges delivery, handles complaints and refunds, and is responsible to you for everything promised in your purchase, including benefits another company provides.
Numa Verse, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("the Owner"), owns the website and the brand and provides the membership benefits. By accepting your order, the Owner also agrees to provide those benefits directly to you. You may enforce any promise in these terms against the Seller, and promises about membership benefits also against the Owner. You never have to pursue the Owner, a print partner or PayPal to get a remedy from the Seller.
In these terms "we" and "us" mean the Seller and the Owner, each for its own role. Full details of both companies are in 1.16.
1.2 Prices and taxes
| Period (US Eastern Time) | Founding Membership |
|---|---|
| 26 November 2026, 12:00 am to 25 December 2026, 11:59 pm | $499 (founding price) |
| From 26 December 2026, 12:00 am | $899 |
Prices are in US dollars. Taxes depend on where you live, so the price is shown as "$499, plus any VAT or sales tax for your location". Tax is calculated as soon as you enter your address, before you pay. Where the law of your country requires a tax-inclusive price, the checkout shows it. The final checkout shows the price, each tax, any shipping and the total. That total is what you pay, and we never charge an amount you have not seen and approved.
1.3 What the Founding Membership includes
The membership starts when the Seller confirms your payment. There is no renewal and no further charge.
From the day you join, for [duration: for as long as the Owner operates the members' area / a defined number of years]:
- a founder number: a commemorative number given in the order memberships are confirmed (section 1.4);
- one line on the Scroll of the First Witnesses (section 1.7);
- the members' area: the introduction film, the published Studies and the Theology Research Map;
- new films and Studies before they open to the public, and invitations to test new features. These depend on what is released and do not guarantee a set number.
1.4 The founder number
The founder number is a commemorative identifier, not an asset. It follows the order in which memberships are confirmed. If a membership is refunded, its number is retired and never given to anyone else, so the sequence can have gaps. [If the founding cohort is capped, state the cap here; if not, say that memberships are not limited.]
1.5 Family access to Two Minutes for God
Your membership includes 24 consecutive months of Two Minutes for God for you and up to [number] other people whose main home is your household. Household members do not need to be related, and time away for study, work or care does not end eligibility.
The public launch is planned for Good Friday, 26 March 2027. The 24 months start on the day the platform actually opens to you, so a later launch never shortens them. If it has not opened by 30 June 2027, we email you and you choose one of these:
- keep your membership, with 30 months of family access instead of 24 once it opens;
- keep your membership and receive a refund of [percentage]% of the price you paid, the value of the family access;
- cancel your membership for a full refund.
If we announce that the platform will not open, you have the same choice straight away. Your statutory rights for delay or non-performance apply as well.
Children may use family access only under the adult member's supervision. Separate profiles for anyone under 18 will exist only once the Owner publishes child-account terms with parental consent, before they are offered.
1.6 The Numa Study Bible
Every Founding Member is promised one printed copy of the Numa Study Bible when it is published, with no extra charge for the book or for shipping. It is complimentary, but it is part of what you receive, and your legal remedies apply to it.
The estimated dispatch date is [date]. The latest date is [longstop date]. We email you to confirm your delivery address before dispatch; if you do not confirm within 60 days, we hold your copy until you do. The Owner pays shipping and any import duty or import VAT on your copy.
If the printed edition has not shipped by [longstop date], or we announce it will not be printed, you receive the complete digital edition. You also choose either a refund of [amount] or to wait for a new date you agree to. Silence never counts as agreement.
1.7 The Scroll of the First Witnesses
Your membership carries one line on the Scroll. It is private unless you choose to make it public.
- What a line can hold: your own name; a family name such as "The Smith Family"; a memorial line "In memory of" someone who has passed away, with optional years and place; or the name of a living adult who has given you permission to publish it. Never submit the name of a living child.
- Public display: a public line appears after review, and only with your separate consent (Privacy Policy, 4.4). Anyone can see a public line, and others may copy or index it, so removal from our site cannot reach copies held elsewhere.
- Review: we may decline or remove a line that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or impersonates someone, or that names a person who has not agreed. We tell you why, and correcting it does not use your one change.
- Changes: you can make one ordinary change in the first 30 days; after that, changes go through us. This never limits your right, or the named person's right, to correct the line, remove it from public view or withdraw consent at any time.
- Removal requests: a living person named on the Scroll, or the next of kin of someone named in memory, can ask us to remove the line at support@numaverse.org.
- How long it stays: the public Scroll stays online for as long as the Owner operates the website.
- Permission: we may display your line only on the Scroll and in ordinary presentations of it. Any use in advertising needs your separate permission.
1.8 Not an investment
The Founding Membership is a consumer purchase for your personal and household use. It is not an investment, security or financial product. It gives no share, ownership, vote, dividend, revenue or profit right in the Owner, the Seller or any related company. You should expect no profit from it. It cannot be sold or transferred, and it is not a charitable donation, so no tax receipt is issued.
1.9 Your account
Your membership is linked to an account email that you confirm before paying. You sign in with a single-use link, valid for 30 minutes. If you lose access to that email or think someone else has signed in, contact us: we can change your email and end all sessions. Your membership is for you and your household and may not be shared publicly or resold.
1.10 Apparel
The product page forms part of your contract. It shows the design, sizes, colours, material and care instructions. Before you pay, the checkout shows the items, the total, the taxes, the shipping, the dispatch and delivery estimate for your address, and the return terms, and you can correct your order. Your contract is formed when we email your order confirmation. If we cannot accept an order, we tell you and refund you at once. Our print partner makes and ships the items for us; its terms never replace your rights against the Seller. Refunds are on the Refunds page and delivery is on the Shipping page, and both form part of these terms.
1.11 Referrals
If you arrive through a partner's or a member's link, we record who introduced you, but only with your consent (Cookie Notice). It never changes your price. Partners earn a commission under a separate partner agreement; members may earn account credit only under credit terms published before the programme starts [member credit is off until then]. Anyone sharing a referral link must say clearly, next to the link, that they earn a commission or credit, for example "I earn a commission if you join through this link."
1.12 Suspension and ending a membership
We may restrict access where it is reasonably needed to investigate credible fraud, secure an account or stop serious misuse, and we review the restriction promptly. For a breach that can be put right, we first tell you what it is and give you reasonable time to fix it. We never end a membership because you complain, use a legal right or open a payment dispute. If we end your membership for a reason other than your serious breach, we refund the price paid.
1.13 Changes
We may make changes needed for security, legal compliance or technical reasons, and improvements that do not reduce what you bought. We will not replace a benefit in 1.3 to 1.7 with something materially different without your agreement. If we cannot continue a benefit, we tell you in advance by email and give you the price reduction, cancellation or refund the law requires. Changes to these terms never alter a purchase already made.
1.14 Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, faulty products, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude, and nothing limits refunds or other remedies the law gives you. Subject to that, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for business losses. [Counsel to decide whether to keep a cap at the price paid for other claims.]
1.15 Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer law, and you may bring a claim in its courts where that law gives you the right. Otherwise, the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction. [Counsel to decide whether to add a class-action and jury-trial waiver for US residents.]
